Experienced general contracting ready for any environment

Akima construction companies are building ground-breaking prototypes and renovating secure spaces around the world with a general contractor’s accessibility, reliability, and emphasis on safety.

ACS, Jade Creek Construction, Kisaq, and Portico Services are led and staffed by industry professionals with decades of experience and a proven ability to innovate. More than “just” general contractors, Akima construction companies can provide the full slate of specialty trades that any job—from a suburban office building to remote outposts—may require.

All of our construction companies prioritize safety—it is part of our institutional philosophy. Risks put our employees, our clients, and our work at risk; to minimize the risk of accidents, we employ comprehensive safety measures on all of our projects. Our straightforward and all-hands approach to safety has earned us an EMR of 0.57.

Akima’s construction companies qualify as small disadvantaged subcontractors for the Department of Defense because they are wholly owned by an Alaska Native Corporation—meaning customers are eligible for contracting credits and other incentives, including the Indian Incentive Program.
