Akima Awarded Contract by U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI)
The U.S Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) awarded Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (Akima) a $50 M Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide computer based instructional development (CBID).
Every Soldier who deploys uses some type of simulation to train critical war fighting skills. PEO STRI provides training and programs, allowing soldiers to hone their skills, rehearse their missions and return to their families safely when their missions are complete. PEO STRI’s critical mission requires a company who can quickly respond to emerging requirements, providing innovative solutions.
Akima, along with our partner Intelligence Decision Systems, Inc. (IDSI), will provide innovative training products and technology solutions, thereby reducing the need for Mobile Training Teams to travel into theatre operations to conduct training. Building from over 13 years experience working with PEO STRI, the Akima team provides:
- Courseware and interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) designed, developed, and evaluated utilizing accepted Instructional System Design (ISD) standards.
- Training devices designed, developed, tested, and verified, including upgrades to existing systems and associated software.
- Design, installation, and implementation of automated electronic classrooms (AEC).
