Air missions are high and available resources are stretched on the home front, with U.S. troops deployed across the globe. Aviation support for these missions requires precision, planning, efficiency, and communication. Akima provides aviation services to over 27 Mission Design Series aircraft at military bases nationwide. On one project alone, Akima sends and receives over 20 million gallons of fuels and 160,000 gallons of cryogenics annually. As a result of our expertise, Akima participated on the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Aerospace Fuels Integrated Project Team to develop a military handbook for “Aerospace Fuels Certification”. |
