Air Combat Command Awards Ikun $82 Million Task Order Under OASIS

Ikun to provide C2ISR and Rescue Squadron Operations Support

December 18, 2018

Herndon, VA – Ikun, an Akima Company, today announced the award of a task order by the United States Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC) under the One Acquisition Solutions for Integrated Services (OASIS) Small Business contract vehicle. The single-award, firm fixed-price task order has a five-year period of performance and a total contract value of approximately $82 million.

The ACC operates fighter, bomber, command and control, surveillance, reconnaissance, rescue, battle-management, unmanned aircraft systems, electronic-combat aircraft, and ground control systems to support global implementation of national security strategy. Under this task order, Ikun will provide Command and Control, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) and Rescue Squadrons with operations support for ACC units at 13 locations in the U.S., three in Europe, and one in Japan. The company will provide training, standardizations and evaluations, scheduling, non-aviation programs and readiness, unit deployment, electronic flight bag and information system security officer support.

This contract represents a new requirement to provide functional support for additional duties typically assigned to squadron personnel and will allow flight crews, ground radar controllers, and personal recovery professionals to focus on operational activities, improving training, mission readiness and aircrew retention.

“We are proud to support Air Combat Command’s new C2ISR and Rescue Squadron requirements so flight crews can focus on their primary mission,” said David Rue, President of Akima’s Mission Systems Engineering & Technology Group. “This contract represents our continued efforts to provide mission-critical solutions to our military’s evolving requirements.”
