At Quantico Marine Corps Base we provide base operating support services to include full responsibility for the management, labor, materials, equipment, incidental engineering, and transportation necessary to provide services for force protection, facility support services, custodial, pest control, integrated solid waste management, grounds maintenance and landscaping, pavement clearance, and environmental support.

At Arnold Engineering Development Complex Akima provides the facility operations needed to enable test operations, industrial security, base operations, test facility and base infrastructure maintenance and improvement efforts, as well as many other services critical to operating and sustaining an active Air Force base and the nation’s largest collection of aerospace ground test facilities. The team performs work in 153 facilities.

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
As a significant small business subcontractor to the McCarthy-HITT Joint Venture for their design-build-construction contract for Next NGA West (N2W), the new NGA facility in St. Louis, Missouri, Akima integrates maintenance efficiencies into the design, developed a facilities maintenance plan as part of the build effort, supports construction operations, and establishes and populates the facility’s Archibus computerized maintenance management system.

Akima provides 24/7 facility support operations and maintenance services at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) which is approximately 1,428 acres, and consists of buildings, roadways, parking areas, open spaces, and underground utility infrastructure with utility plants. GSFC has 36 major buildings and 114 minor structures covering approximately 3.7 million gross square feet.

At MacDill Air Force Base Akima provides base civil engineering services to include all preventive maintenance and repair for more than 58 generators, 300 utility meters, 101 fire suppression systems, and 50.8 miles of paved roads. Our team executes an average of 6,650 preventive maintenance actions, recurring services, service calls, and minor construction items annually – completing most taskings in less than 50 hours.
